This fall, whether you’re getting ready for a fitness competition, working on building strength, or trying to lose a few pounds, our fitness center, boot camps, personal training, and “Boxing2GitFit” programs can help you reach your goals.  Want to “test drive” a class?  Our trainers will let you try a class for free to show you how hard you’ll work with a personal trainer.

Fitness Center

Our fitness center features two floors of state-of-the-art strength training equipment. The first floor includes Nautilus and Selectorized equipment used for strengthening and toning, while the lower level contains free weights with safer, non-slip grips, as well as plate-loaded machines to help you build muscle mass.

We are constantly assessing and reevaluating our equipment inventory to provide you with the latest and greatest fitness equipment. We strive to help all members attain their personal goals and provide answers to their fitness questions. Members are encouraged to take advantage of free orientations, during which they can learn about which machines work which muscles, seat positions, proper form, sets, repetitions and weight selection.

Mr. John’s Boot Camp

No matter your fitness level, Mr. John’s Boot Camp can help improve your overall health by boosting your self-confidence and making you mentally stronger with a combination of exercises, including:

  • Cardio – running in short intervals, jumping jacks, squat thrusts, climbers, burpees

  • Upper body – push-ups, planks, bands, weights, shoulders

  • Lower body – squats, planks, step-ups, isolated exercises

Along with a great workout, Mr. John’s Boot Camp promises a positive, encouraging environment and the camaraderie that comes from working with others to become your strongest, best self. Beginner and advanced Boot Camps are available.

Personal Training

If you need a little more individual attention to overcome a plateau, train for an event, or work toward another personal goal, consider personal training. We offer either private, one-on-one training sessions or you can participate in a group. That’s what makes the personal training so personal! We want to design a workout for YOU… in order to accomplish your goals.

Please note you can easily “drop-in” to any existing training group. Just check in with a trainer and they can let you know your options. Please refer to the training schedule or contact a specific trainer for questions and specific pricing.

Boxing2GitFit

Boxing2GitFit has taken Beechmont Racquet & Fitness by storm! This high-intensity workout features all the training that comes with preparing for a championship bout without ever being hit or having to hit someone. You can burn up to 900 calories in one class!

The “Git Fit” name is taken from Brian and Beth Simpson’s local cable fitness television show. Not only is Brian a local TV exercise personality, but he was also recognized as Cincy Magazine’s “Best Personal Trainer” in 2013 and 2014. Brian brings his enthusiasm and dedication to each and every class.

Designed for men and women, “Boxing2GitFit” consists of a circuit training system where you rotate through numerous “stations” during a one-hour class. It’s a great exercise for your core and no prior boxing experience is required. Just be ready to burn a bunch of calories! We even provide ALL the equipment: boxing gloves, bags, weights, etc.

Classes are conveniently scheduled on Saturday mornings at 10:45 a.m. and are only $12 per class. Class size is limited, so come early!

Meet Joe Mink!

Joe realizes that to achieve your goals in fitness it has nothing to do with genetics, but more so an internal and external push for the desire to become the best version of yourself.  To become the best version of yourself doesn’t come easy, but I believe we all have it within our moral fiber to do just that. If you can dream it, you certainly can achieve it by setting short term and long term goals. “Grit, motivation, and determination are the key factors in achieving all of your short term and long term goals!” is the philosophy Joe lives by!
