Here's what people have been saying:
I didn’t know I wanted to meet with a nutritionist, believe it or not. What I did know was that I needed a mindset shift about food and meal planning, wanted to lose weight as a result of this shift, and I wanted to learn that from a professional. Online has too much and varying info which feels overwhelming, but I had seen Smart Nutrition advertised at the gym and told my husband that I wanted to take advantage of it being offered (what a great perk!). I never thought I had a “poor” diet, per se, but I also felt lost on what areas needed to be “fixed”. I lacked the knowledge and the equipping to be able to live a life without major restrictions, yet the freedom to make things my own. Meeting with Matt gave me that and more! We counted calories the first few weeks (yes it’s tedious but yes it’s so worth it). Then we walked through each meal time over the course of several weeks, but never hurried through them. I loved that things were personalized to my lifestyle and schedule–even down to what cooking methods I preferred and the amount of time I want to spend on making breakfast, etc. Just little things I wouldn’t have thought would impact how I viewed nutrition and how it would work for me. These things, and more, helped me feel willing and able to do the hard work, make some changes, and just brought an overall awareness to all the things. It was totally worth my time, money and energy–plus I lost 25lbs! That was definitely a huge goal, and I’m motivated to continue tightening up certain eating areas and adding more intentional fitness to my lifestyle, but the weight loss has been a great motivator. Thank you Matt, and thank you BRF!
